A CONSISTENT GAZE ACROSS EVERY MEDIUM

Whether I’m developing a brand, designing a space, or photographing a surfer or editorial, my focus remains the female gaze. For me, this means prioritizing authenticity over perfection, intuition over pure logic, and an aesthetic that has depth rather than merely shining on the surface. I create visual identities, spatial experiences, and emotional moments that all have one thing in common: they feel real.

Every vision deserves an unadulterated gaze..Let’s shift perspectives together and bring your story to life.

Empowered Vulnerability

I take photos out of empathy. It’s not about how someone looks, but how they feel. I capture both strength and vulnerability at the same time. My photos aren’t trophies, but encounters on equal terms. I don’t airbrush away real life. I capture the texture of the moment - the salt in the hair, the sand on the skin, the genuine laughter. Images that breathe.

Good design listens.

Brands need an identity you can feel. I create visual identities that understand needs and foster trust. Design that radiates care and quality, rather than just screaming “Buy me!” I create designs that don’t dazzle, but build genuine connections- from strategic logo development to intuitive web design.

Embodied Spaces.

I design spaces from the perspective of experience and sensation. How do you move within them? How does the texture feel when you come in barefoot after surfing? It’s not about how the space looks in a photo, but how it supports the body and soul and conveys that feeling through every sense. This is where I want to be.

PODCAST

#36

In the new podcast episode, I talk with @kira.bruessau, a photographer and surfer who is on her way to making her dream of living by the sea a reality 🌊☀️

We talk about how she’s currently in the midst of shaping her life on her own terms, how she experienced her first year of self-employment, and how self-employment doesn’t always just mean freedom and easy living - but also brings fears, worries, and uncertainties.

Kira speaks openly about how, despite everything, she is courageously forging her own path step by step - far removed from others’ expectations and the pressure to do things “like everyone else.”

For everyone who wants to live their dreams, take bold steps, and not let traditional life patterns hold them back ✨

FEMALE GAZE

WHAT DOES THAT ACTUALLY MEAN?

In a world that is often visually dominated by a male-centric perspective (the male gaze), the focus is usually on dominance, idealization, and women as decorative objects. The female gaze breaks down these structures. It is not a “female filter,” but a conscious choice for empathy, equality, and authenticity.

It is the gaze that does not ask, “How does it look?” but rather, “How does it feel?”

For me, the female gaze is the foundation of my work. It brings together my disciplines - photography, branding, and interior design - into a cohesive whole that puts women and their visions at the center.

My work is an invitation to reclaim control over your own image. Whether it’s designing your brand, creating your sanctuary, or capturing a fleeting moment: it’s about being seen for who you truly are. Powerful. Authentic. Unadulterated.
